Join the CCOF Foundation and the Community Alliance with Family Farmers (CAFF) for a webinar that will help food hubs and other local food buyers (including farms in some cases!) understand what they need to do to verify their farm suppliers under the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). In this webinar we will break down the complex supplier verification requirement of FSMA’s Preventive Controls Rule (also referred to as the PC Rule). The PC Rule applies to “facilities,” which in some cases can include farms. Part of the PC Rule requires food hubs and other buyers to “verify their suppliers,” which can be done in a number of ways. This webinar will provide an overview of a new guide that CAFF, Farm Commons, and UC Extension created to help food hubs and other facilities understand how they can verify the farms they buy from in a way that is least burdensome for all parties.
