Volunteer Event: Becoming the Largest Urban Food Forest in the United States

Come together with your community and plant some fruit trees with the Phoenix Food Forest Project and Growing to Give Org!

What Volunteers Should Know/Bring:

  • Clothing: Bring warm clothes suitable for your tolerance to the cold, though it has been a warm winter. Wear work or casual attire you don’t mind getting dirty.

  • Knee Pads: If needed for planting fruit trees and vegetables.

  • Gloves: Feel free to bring your own gloves, though we’ll provide some as well.

  • Water & Snacks: You’re welcome to bring personal water and snacks, though we’ll provide pizza and possibly a generous food donation from Jimmy John’s (pending confirmation).

  • Additional Items: Bring any personal devices (e.g., for music) to use while planting.

Coffee will be provided for volunteers from The Copper Gila Café!
