After a public offering process, the City of Phoenix Community and Economic Development Department is recommending Arizona Fresh Holdings LLC for the redevelopment of Del Rio former landfill site located at 1150 E Elwood St. in Phoenix. The recommended offer was based on the company’s concept for the development of “Arizona Fresh: Agri-Food Innovation Center”.  Arizona Fresh plans, a multi-phase effort, to ultimately create the nation’s leading source of innovation and education in the production and distribution of food, in collaboration with the city, the community, state universities and private strategic partners (please see attachments).  As part of this offering process, the City of Phoenix will be holding a number of community meetings during the month of August (2020) and we would like to extend invitations for you and other members of your organization to join us. The community meetings will include introductions to project representatives and presentations of the conceptual plan, and your feedback and participation will be very important to us. For more information about the project, including how to participate in the upcoming community meetings (English and Spanish), please visit www.phoenix.gov/econdev/DelRio.
