Hosted by Partnership with Native Americans, Pinnacle Prevention, and the Arizona Food Bank Network. More info & RSVP here.
In collaboration with Pinnacle Prevention and the Arizona Food Bank Network, PWNA will now oversee and support the Tribal Food Access meetings that are part of the Anti-Hunger Advocacy Calls and Arizona Food Systems Network initiatives. These bi-weekly meetings focus on food providers, institutions, government agencies, and tribal groups working to assess the current state of food access and foster specific strategies to leverage resources and reach. As part of this collaboration, we will develop an asset map of food resources, provide ongoing updates, and kick off a Tribes 101 series on indigenous food systems and history, contemporary policies impacting development, and current issues affecting tribal sovereignty and self-sufficiency.
