Clara Migoya covers the intersection of agriculture and water in Arizona, from local food systems and ag research to regulation and policy over rural groundwater. Previously, she worked for the newspaper as an environmental fellow and a border issues reporter. She hails from south-central Mexico, holds a bachelor's degree in environmental sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, and an M.A. in journalism from the University of Arizona. In 2021 she was awarded the Society of Professional Journalists' Mark of Excellence Award in General News Reporting.
