Guess the Chef + Mom Duo & Check Out Their Mother's Day Deals

The solution for celebrating mom has always been easy — brunch at her favorite restaurant! Although this year may look a little different, you can still visit your favorite local eatery and take dinner or brunch to-go to enjoy at the comfort of your own home.

We asked a couple of chefs and business owners to share a little bit about their amazing moms and how they’ve impacted their life, some even their cooking. Check out these amazing baby chef photos and what’s on the menu for Mother’s Day 2020.

Chef Justin Beckett

Were you able to get a taste of Chef Beckett’s southern food at this year’s Devour Culinary Classic? Beckett is creating a brunch for four package that will wow mom — from both Beckett’s Table and Southern Rail Restaurant.

When asked about influences in his cooking, Beckett said: “My mother helped me learn how the family should eat every day. Making meals out of what was in the fridge was the best solution, and sometimes the only way to come together. My grandmother taught me the importance of eating from her huge garden. We would take an empty basket down the path to the garden and pick only what looked amazing and ripe.”

Special

Sunday Brunch - Order in advance and pick up on Saturday afternoon. We have learned that brunch from Beckett’s Table is sold out, however you may order brunch from Southern Rail Restaurant.

Brunch includes: mixed fruit & berries, smoked salmon, pretzel toast, brioche bread pudding french toast bites, bourbon caramel sauce, grilled andouille sausage, breakfast egg casserole and a mimosa kit!

Chef Tracy Dempsey

Chef Tracy Dempsey raises her glass to toast her mom and the moms in your lives as well. She fully understands the challenges of celebrating mom at a distance as her mom lives in Texas — but she’s all smiles in this photo!

Chef Tracy has designed a few options for mom that you can swoop in and pick up from her Tempe location.

Pastry Chef Brady Breese

Urban Cookies treats are the most comforting and indulging sweets — and are perfect for any celebration.

Brady Breese, the founder of Urban Cookies, told us this about his mother Jeanette: “I learned to cook and appreciate food from my mom — she made amazing meals. She’s been gone for six years now, but I will always remember the chocolate cakes she would make me for every birthday. And when we were starting our business, she helped me develop our carrot cake recipe. We would always argue about whose carrot cake was better.”

Special

Their customers wait all year long for our Cinco de Mayo cupcakes ( addicting Churro and Mexican Chocolate flavors), so they decided to continue them for Mother’s Day. Another great option to celebrate mom is ordering one of their gourmet 4-layer to go cakes— they have 8 varieties to choose from. Don’t miss the opportunity to try Jeanette’s famous carrot cake. Customers can order online at urbancookies.com or call them at 602.451.4335.
