Farm to Table Chef at Ajo Farmers Market Store & Kitchen

Ajo Farmers Market Store & Kitchen is seeking a creative and energetic chef with a culinary and kitchen management experience and love for seasonal cooking.

The Kitchen is a recently formed non - profit enterprise project and we are looking for a person (young or older) who would be a driving force behind its further growth and development. The chef will create weekly menu and specials, incorporating locally grown or wild foraged foods. The chef will run lunch service and prepare food for pop-up, catering, and educational events, as well as fresh and frozen to go foods for the store and farmers market.  As we are small operation, the chef will help with cleaning kitchen and servicing dining room if needed. It's a varied and diverse position that will develop and grow with the project.

Due to the town's and business' seasonality, we offer minimum 9 - 10 months employment, 30 - 40 hours a week, paid time off, workers compensation insurance as well as health insurance for a full-time employees (after 12 months employment). Salary $17 - 20 an hour based on experience. Work is mostly during the week, but some evenings and weekends are required. Start date: September 1. Own vehicle required.

The Ajo Farmers Market Store and Kitchen is run by Ajo Center for Sustainable Agriculture, a local non-profit, which champions access to locally grown food, Sonoran desert crop preservation, education and food justice issues. The Center runs an urban farm and CSA share program, Ajo Gardeners network, Beginning Farmers training and local school gardening program, farmers market and organizes various food events. The Farmers Market Store & Kitchen opened in the fall of 2018 and unites over 30 food and arts vendors in a unique community space.

Market Manager at Phoenix Public Market

Phoenix Public Market is seeking a full-time Market Manager who will bring enthusiasm and dedication to promoting and operating the weekly farmers market.

The Market Manager has day-to-day responsibilities for the success of the weekly farmers market. The manager will oversee market operations; including coordinating vendors, supervising volunteers, and running market programs. The Market Manager will work throughout the week to organize financials, programs, and marketing before and after each market.

This is a full-time position. The Market Manager is required to be on-site for all market days, other hours are worked remotely with a flexible work environment.

Communications Specialist at Pinnacle Prevention

Pinnacle Prevention is seeking a full-time Communications Specialist who will oversee the communications and creative support for Pinnacle Prevention. The Communications Specialist is responsible for creative and brand management including graphic design of print and digital materials, writing and copy editing, and community outreach and promotion.
