Joao Mina grew up on a farm with 10 siblings. He moved out of Portugal to create the life he wanted for himself. He has grown and cultivated this life on quite a beautiful piece of land in Camp Verde that he and his wife, Rosemary, moved to in 1995. Mina’s Farm is host to an abundance of fruit trees, goats, chickens, as well as visits from Joao and Rosemary’s daughter and grandkids. Joao started this farm from scratch and has put a lot of time and care into growing the trees that now line his property. There’s such a beauty in seeing the produce at Joao’s booth knowing how many years and prior planning have gone into their growth. Mina’s Farm offers the Prescott Farmers Market a special treat with an abundance of fruits and pecans. He is growing a variety of delicious fruits: figs, apples, peaches, pears, grapes, persimmons, pomegranate, and pecans. A stroll around his land will leave your mouth watering for an afternoon fruit salad.
