A regenerative farm
Erda Kroft is a diversified sustainable farm that is redefining the ancient Scottish technique of the sustainable use of native ecosystems known as crofting. The original concept was to derive food and fiber from an intact ecosystem by the sustainable use of livestock. At Erda Kroft the idea is to expand on that by enhancing native ecosystems so that wildcrafting opportunities for food, fiber and herbs are increased and also so that the production of potential building and energy materials are increased with the overall goal being to sustainably derive all of ones needs from the Kroft. No manufactured inputs are used and no inputs from outside the krofters community are used (60 mile radius).
